Overview
Foradori "Granato" is one of the most iconic expressions of Teroldego, a native grape of Trentino. Inspired by the pomegranate (granata in Italian), this wine captures the intensity and complexity of the variety while showcasing the elegance of biodynamic viticulture. The 2021 vintage reflects a balanced growing season, resulting in a wine of purity, depth, and age-worthy structure.
Vinification and Aging
- Fermentation: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open-top wooden vats.
- Maceration: Extended skin contact for several weeks to enhance complexity and structure.
- Aging: Aged in large oak casks for 15 months, followed by additional bottle refinement before release.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Deep ruby red with vibrant garnet hues.
- Aroma: Intense and layered, featuring black cherries, wild berries, pomegranate, and violets, with subtle notes of earth, graphite, and exotic spices.
- Palate: Elegant yet powerful, with a silky texture. Concentrated red and black fruit flavors are supported by firm tannins and a lively acidity, creating a harmonious balance.
- Finish: Long and persistent, with lingering minerality and refined spice notes.
Food Pairing
