San Felice "Pugnitello" IGT 2013 is a rare expression of the ancient and nearly extinct Pugnitello grape, a variety that San Felice has played a pivotal role in reviving. This wine showcases the grape’s remarkable depth, structure, and complexity while maintaining the elegance characteristic of Tuscany. The 2013 vintage, shaped by balanced weather conditions, delivers exceptional concentration and finesse.
Vinification and Aging
- Fermentation: Traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control.
- Maceration: Extended skin contact to ensure optimal extraction of tannins, color, and aromatic compounds.
- Aging: 18–20 months in French oak barriques, followed by an additional 8–10 months of bottle aging before release.

- Appearance: Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.
- Aroma: Complex and intense, featuring ripe blackberries, black cherries, and plums, alongside hints of tobacco, leather, and Mediterranean herbs. Subtle notes of vanilla and baking spices from oak aging.
